Liguori Publications of Liguori, MO is
pleased to announce that Michael C. Gregory has accepted the newly created
position of director of digital publishing at the Roman Catholic publisher.
In his new role, Michael will
strategically position Liguori to meet the growing demand for e-books and
content on-demand. He will establish and implement company-wide digital
workflow, as well as further the creation and production of digital products by
building new organizational capacities.
“The landscape of publishing is
changing,” said the Rev. Mathew Kessler, CSsR, Liguori’s president and publisher.
“Michael has proven abilities in navigating change – and in mining
opportunities. By joining our team at this time, he enables us to reach more
people with resources that meet their information needs and deepen their
faith.”
Since the introduction of its CatholicEBooks.com web site, Liguori’s digital
books sales have posted month-over-month gains. The site currently offers more
than 100 titles.
Michael’s 20-plus years of experience
uniquely fit him to create and manage digital processes and products at
Liguori. Most recently, he ensured the successful management of online
development projects for journals, books, and publishing services divisions at
Informa Healthcare, New York. While at John Wiley & Sons, Inc., he served
in a variety of roles and eventually as director of production and operations
for the publisher’s Hoboken and San Francisco facilities. He oversaw
production, manufacturing, and fulfillment for 62 print and digital journal and
newsletter titles. Michael has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Joseph’s
College, Patchogue, NY.
